Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Wesley Gerber started the match with the kick off. João Paulo Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cauan Andrade in the 3rd minute of play. In the 6th minute Tiago do Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedrão Garcia kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Cauan Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiago do Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Virgil Neacsu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Paulo Pires. Nacional Futebol Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Virgil Neacsu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 19 minutes into the game, Eliseu Porto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nacional Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Corinthians Paulista the free kick. Eliseu Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. João Paulo Pires came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Virgil Neacsu. But to his dismay, Virgil Neacsu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Cauan Andrade blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without João Paulo Pires having to make a save. Erasmo Ortiz kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 30th match minute, Nacional Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Galvão to maneuver through the defense. João Paulo Pires stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cauan Andrade's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. João Paulo Pires came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Cauan Andrade. But to his dismay, Cauan Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Noel Galvão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Faria having to interfere. After some careless play in the Nacional Futebol Clube defense, Virgil Neacsu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Paulo Pires. The Nacional Futebol Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Paulo Pires should have stopped the shot. Virgil Neacsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cauan Andrade struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. João Paulo Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.C. Corinthians Paulista. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tiago do Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. Bernardinho Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 56 minutes into the match, Cauan Andrade notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Nacional Futebol Clube's João Paulo Pires. João Paulo Pires was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Noel Galvão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Noel Galvão struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Fabiano Faria didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional Futebol Clube. 67 minutes into the match, Nacional Futebol Clube's Noel Galvão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabiano Faria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Virgil Neacsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. João Paulo Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bernardinho Vianna came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the S.C. Corinthians Paulista fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernardinho Vianna couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Wesley Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Nacional Futebol Clube's Edinho Pinho got a free kick in the 74th minute. It was beautiful to see S.C. Corinthians Paulista's Bernardinho Vianna in action when he in the 76th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! After a defensive mix-up in Nacional Futebol Clube's zone, Celsinho Aguiar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Paulo Pires came out of the goal and Celsinho Aguiar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 81 played minutes S.C. Corinthians Paulista got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho Vianna. In the 84th minute of the match Edinho Pinho shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabiano Faria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 88 minutes Nacional Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bernardinho Vianna who took care of the corner kick. If Cauan Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
