Gonçalo Zonta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Zeca Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovani Moreira had several of the Fidie SS's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 8 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Zeca Marques as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jonas Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Veloso having to interfere. Horácio Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Ramalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Horácio Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Ramalho in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Campidelis in the 20th minute of play forced Fidie SS's goalkeeper Zeca Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Jonas Ramalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horácio Veloso. caixa 2's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Ramalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Jonas Ramalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horácio Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Ramalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Jonas Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Jonas Ramalho's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Horácio Veloso was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Tarcisio Bastos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 39 played minutes, Fidie SS's Nelsinho Sena shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horácio Veloso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fidie SS reached it. If Jonas Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. caixa 2's Horácio Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio Penha in the 43rd minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Fidie SS's Jonas Ramalho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horácio Veloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 47th minute of the match Zeca Baiano shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horácio Veloso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geovani Moreira was the one to do the kick off. Zeca Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adhemar Pitta in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Ramalho in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horácio Veloso saved caixa 2 from getting behind. After 61 minutes of play, Fidie SS's Luís Gustavo Barral made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horácio Veloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Zeca Baiano fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fidie SS's protests and gave Zeca Baiano a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Zeca Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Ramalho might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Horácio Veloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonas Ramalho ran back to his position shaking his head. Luiz Fábio Sena hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 80 minutes into the game, Aloísio Penha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Horácio Veloso. Aloísio Penha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Horácio Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Ramalho in the 84th minute of play. When Benjamin Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Fidie SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Antunes couldn't finish the play. Jonas Ramalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Veloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. A hard shot 91 in the game by Jonas Ramalho from a close distance when the talented Horácio Veloso managed to make a qualified save. caixa 2's players were relieved. When Luiz Fábio Sena fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored caixa 2's protests and gave Luiz Fábio Sena a yellow card for diving instead. Horácio Veloso acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nilson Paes. Fidie SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
