Ipiiba AD's Alfredão Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Gomes in the 8th minute of play. Ipiiba AD's Natã Meira got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tiago Carneiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredão Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. João Castro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredão Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bratuca. In the 23rd minute Eduardo Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredão Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Gomes in the 26th minute of play. When Bratuca's Eduardo Gomes in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ipiiba AD's goalie prevented a goal. Eduardo Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão Esteves having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Ipiiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Thomás Hermes came free, but Alfredão Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thomás Hermes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Eduardo Gomes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alfredão Esteves. Ipiiba AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eduardo Gomes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When Alberto Eger fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ipiiba AD's protests and gave Alberto Eger a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Ipiiba AD got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Eger. 43 minutes into the match, Bratuca's goalkeeper Edgar Machado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Proença. José Paulo Goiano's shot from long distance in the 45th minute was not bad at all, but Bratuca's Edgar Machado knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 48th minute Paulinho da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão Esteves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alberto Eger was the one to do the kick off. Alfredão Esteves made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Eduardo Gomes sent off a good shot on target. The referee ignored Ipiiba AD's protests and gave Raí Paulista a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Bratuca booed when Ipiiba AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Paulista didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ipiiba AD's Alfredão Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Ipiiba AD from getting a goal against them. Cícero Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Alfredão Esteves made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Paulinho da Costa sent off a good shot on target. Alfredão Esteves didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 73rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. Alfredão Esteves came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Bratuca's Eduardo Gomes. But to his dismay, Eduardo Gomes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Alberto Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edgar Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alberto Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Bratuca's Abel Rosado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Eduardo Gomes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredão Esteves came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Gomes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Alberto Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredão Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduardo Gomes in the 93rd minute of play. Eduardo Gomes took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredão Esteves. Alfredão Esteves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. Bratuca played a much better game than Ipiiba AD and deserved their victory. The Ipiiba AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
