The supporters of Iauare booed when Pimenteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Quintal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nilson Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nilson Meirelles made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Nilson Meirelles made a precise shot to the right of David Quintal. Iauare's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After having played for 58 minutes, Sabino da Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iauare's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sabino da Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doni Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabino da Costa in the 60th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 66 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Nilson Meirelles sped through Iauare's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of David Quintal.
