Pedro Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Oséas Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Pedro Simões's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oséas Dias was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Sydney Seco charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sydney Seco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sydney Seco kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Correntinho's Edu Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Seco in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Correntinho's goal looked a bit too open when Iuri Vale came free, but Edu Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tocaia EC's Sydney Seco got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Luís Rodrigues hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iuri Vale made a kick off. An unexpected shot in the 55th minute by Sydney Seco got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Simões in the 59th minute of play forced Tocaia EC's goalkeeper Oséas Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute, Gilvan Paraíba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute, André Luís Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Simões in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oséas Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alan Baptista charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Souza during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Walmyr Carneiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Correntinho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
