After a defensive mix-up in Arapiranga AD's zone, Manuel Sampaio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walmir Azevedo came out of the goal and Manuel Sampaio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Manuel Sampaio came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the Pocinhos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Sampaio couldn't finish the play. Erik Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Zé Roberto Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17thth minute of the game Vicente Secco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pocinhos FC's Erik Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simão Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walmir Azevedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simão Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. Simão Machado struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Walmir Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pocinhos FC. When Magno Valle fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Arapiranga AD's protests and gave Magno Valle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Simão Machado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Magno Valle got his second yellow card in the match during the 27th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Magno Valle hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. When André Luiz de Andrade came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Arapiranga AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luiz de Andrade couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Zé Roberto Xavier sped through Pocinhos FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erik Pitta. Pocinhos FC's Erik Pitta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Pocinhos FC from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Zé Roberto Xavier made the kick off in the second half. Zé Roberto Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 69 played minutes Pocinhos FC got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo do Nascimento. 70 minutes into the match, Arapiranga AD's Eliseu Guimarães broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zé Roberto Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Erik Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erik Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Roberto Xavier in the 76th minute of play. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Arapiranga AD fully deserved thier win.
