Nicolas Santana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 15 minutes into the match, Wilian Vander notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tape EC's Nicolas Santana. Nicolas Santana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicolas Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexsandro Motta in the 22nd minute of play. Emanuel Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Daniel Pinheiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Tape EC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexsandro Motta came free, but Nicolas Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erivaldo Marquez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Pinheiro having to interfere. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind CELTIC's goalkeeper Daniel Pinheiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute Alexsandro Motta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicolas Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Tape EC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. CELTIC were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erivaldo Marquez was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 51 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alexsandro Motta sped through Tape EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nicolas Santana.
