Salu FC's Jerônimo Pontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Salu FC from getting a goal against them. Jerônimo Pontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Eduardo Marquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelinho Urbano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Jerônimo Pontes made a huge save. Salu FC's Jerônimo Pontes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Eduardo Marquez in the 18th minute of play. Albertinho Munhoz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Emanuel Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Carlos Eduardo Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 26 played minutes Salu FC got a freekick which was hit by Deivid Coutinho. Deivid Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Sena having to interfere. Jerônimo Pontes was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Eduardo Marquez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. Jerônimo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nico Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Jerônimo Pontes was out of position in the 40 minute of play, and Carlos Eduardo Marquez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Eduardo Marquez really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Emanuel Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Leme in the 44th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos Eduardo Marquez to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Marcelinho Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guanandi's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelinho Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jerônimo Pontes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jerônimo Pontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Urbano in the 59th minute of play. William Leme charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed William Leme the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Guanandi booed when Salu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. William Leme didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho Urbano in the 69th minute of play forced Salu FC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Pontes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jerônimo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Eduardo Marquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After having played for 73 minutes, Albertinho Munhoz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertinho Munhoz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The throw-in from Murillo Santana in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Salu FC's William Leme. After 75 minutes of play, Salu FC's William Leme made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emanuel Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! William Leme kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 83 minutes into the game, Nicolas Ceresso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Jerônimo Pontes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, William Leme fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Emanuel Sena, passed just outside the right post. In the 94th minute, Nico Ribeiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 played minutes Guanandi got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Ceresso. For all the effort they put into the match, the Salu FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Guanandi.
