Spectators: 6533 (Terracing: 5431, Seating: 1100, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maurinho Pirani started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Tião Azevedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tião Azevedo in the 21st minute of play forced Ipuiuna's goalkeeper Josué Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonel Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Vale in the 22nd minute of the match. Cesinha Leão, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Fábio Reis in the 27th minute of play forced DGNB's goalkeeper Leonel Sá to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Conrado Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonel Sá didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geovanni Vale went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Luiz Fábio Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josué Madureira was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Wilian Salgado.

The wind increased when Tião Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. Geovanni Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Leonel Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ipuiuna's Maurinho Pirani in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DGNB's goalie prevented a goal. Maurinho Pirani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonel Sá read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Maurinho Pirani struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Leonel Sá didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ipuiuna. 71 minutes into the match, DGNB's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Pirani came free, but Leonel Sá reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonel Sá showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Pirani in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th match minute, DGNB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oséas Bezerra to maneuver through the defense. Geovanni Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonel Sá having to interfere. In the 88thth minute of the game Maurinho Pirani who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DGNB's Leonel Sá was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geovanni Vale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonel Sá having to make a save. Geovanni Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Leonel Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonel Sá was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Geovanni Vale capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Geovanni Vale really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. When the match was over Ipuiuna could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than DGNB throughout the match.
