Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Benjamin Branco's late challenge caught a Ipuiuna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Branco helped the player get up and apologised. Ipuiuna's Doni Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute Renato Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doni Carvalho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Ipuiuna's Maurinho Pirani made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Edinho Mello fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zogaias SC's protests and gave Edinho Mello a yellow card for diving instead. Edinho Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Zogaias SC's Nuno Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Pirani in the 62nd minute of play. With his leg Josué Madureira managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Zogaias SC's Renato Mattos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The attack was good, but when Renato Mattos in the 65th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 70 minutes, Luiz Fábio Reis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ipuiuna and the Zogaias SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zogaias SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renato Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josué Madureira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmílson Rocha's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. 3-1 became the score in the 91st minute when Doni Carvalho elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Maurinho Pirani hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Zogaias SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ipuiuna.
