Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Nelsinho Coutinho started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Marins's zone, Ronaldo Medeiros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogério Abraão came out of the goal and Ronaldo Medeiros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tarcisio Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marins's Rogério Abraão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelsinho Coutinho in the 13th minute of play. Rubinho de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Igarapiuna EC's Simão Paraíba broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Deivid Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Deivid Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Sílvio Luís Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldo Medeiros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogério Abraão having to make a save. If Deivid Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Nelsinho Coutinho got free in front of the goal in the 35th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Rogério Abraão was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Deivid Velasco had several of the Igarapiuna EC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 43 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Sílvio Luís Souto as he didn't even see the shot coming. If Nelsinho Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelsinho Coutinho in the 52nd minute of play forced Marins's goalkeeper Rogério Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldo Medeiross short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Rogério Abraão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 54th match minute, Marins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Toscano to maneuver through the defense. Ronaldo Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Rogério Abraão made a huge save. 76 minutes into the game, Glauco de Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marins's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Igarapiuna EC the free kick. After 77 played minutes Marins got a freekick which was hit by Glauco de Andrade. Rogério Abraão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. When Ronaldo Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Igarapiuna EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Medeiros couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute, Ademir Félix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marins's Rogério Abraão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Marins from getting a goal against them. Ademir Félix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Marins's Rubinho de Almeida got a free kick in the 90th minute. Ronaldo Medeiross short, quick shot in the 91stth minute got Rogério Abraão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Many of Igarapiuna EC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Igarapiuna EC may have spent more time on the ball, but Marins were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
