The Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Mineiro should have stopped the shot. In the 16th minute, Tales Arruda left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Agiota SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Elias Mineiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armindo Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute Armindo Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elias Mineiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Nilmar da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
