Bernardo Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cadori AD's Teodoro Loyola proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Cadori AD from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cadori AD's zone, Bernardo Romero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Loyola came out of the goal and Bernardo Romero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Dinei Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Thiago Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Toledo in the 22nd minute of play. Luís Gustavo Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 32 minutes into the match, Eduardo Toledo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Thiago Castro. Thiago Castro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dinei Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Loyola having to interfere. 42 minutes into the game, MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Bernardo Romero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teodoro Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Rubens Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Romero to make the kick off. Luís Gustavo Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Dinei Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dinei Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Bernardo Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Romero was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinei Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Teodoro Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Bernardo Romero managed to get in a good position for a shot. MONTES CLAROS F. Cristóvão Souto tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Teodoro Loyola. Thiago Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Gustavo Medeiros, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 75 minutes into the game, Cadori AD's Eduardo Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thiago Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 2-3 became the score in the 78th minute when Luís Gustavo Medeiros elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, MONTES CLAROS F. C.'s Kauã Ferraz got a free kick in the 81st minute. Bernardo Romero kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Cadori AD's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Romero came free, but Teodoro Loyola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Bernardo Romero made a precise shot to the right of Teodoro Loyola. Cadori AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. MONTES CLAROS F. C. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
