Oséias Cruz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enrique Pimenta's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. If Enrique Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, one of Jaragua FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jaragua FC. Sydney Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. João Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Vivaldo Arósio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fernandinho de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute.
