Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Arapa FC's Evandro Brasil started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Brusque SC's Osvaldo Tepedino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Brusque SC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Arapa FC's Dinei Marinho got a free kick in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wellington Mello in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cléber Veloso saved Arapa FC from getting behind. After 10 played minutes Arapa FC got a freekick which was hit by Frederico Valadares. In the 12th minute of the match Luís Guilherme Recife shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cléber Veloso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Osvaldo Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute, Ademar da Fonseca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fernando Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 minutes, Dinei Marinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arapa FC and the Brusque SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dinei Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Luís Fernando Esteves had several of the Brusque SC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 23 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Osvaldo Tepedino as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcel Trancoso during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, one of Brusque SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Brusque SC. 33 minutes into the match, Diego Alagoano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cléber Veloso. Arapa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Alagoano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Luís Fernando Esteves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 minutes of play, Arapa FC's Evandro Brasil made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Tepedino was left in no man's land by his defense there! Evandro Brasil recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléber Veloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wellington Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Cléber Veloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Alagoano in the 47th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Alagoano made a kick off. Dinei Marinho hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. When Brusque SC's Diego Alagoano in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arapa FC's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Luís Fernando Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arapa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fernando Esteves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Tepedino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Fernando Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Tepedino having to interfere. Arapa FC's Evandro Brasil managed to work through Brusque SC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Evandro Brasil dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Silvinho Leite's late challenge caught a Arapa FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silvinho Leite helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Brusque SC's Silvinho Leite got a free kick in the 66th minute. The supporters of Brusque SC booed when Arapa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Macedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Esteves notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Brusque SC's Osvaldo Tepedino. Osvaldo Tepedino was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Osvaldo Tepedino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evandro Brasil, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evandro Brasil in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Osvaldo Tepedino saved Brusque SC from getting behind. Wellington Mello's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Cléber Veloso firmly grabbed it by the left post. Cléber Veloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvinho Leite in the 91st minute. The throw-in from Noel Brito in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Arapa FC's Dinei Marinho. Osvaldo Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evandro Brasil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Tepedino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Fernando Esteves in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Arapa FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
