Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) In the 4th minute, Pedro Brito got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarbas Pitta kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Domenico Scarinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Brito in the 12th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Bebeto Brasil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilton Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jean Araújo in the 18th minute. Domenico Scarinci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Brito in the 20th minute of play. Natercia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Hugon Juszkowski scored to the left of an out of position Nilton Toledo, making the score, 1-0. Jean Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Nilton Toledo made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Breno Pimenta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nilton Toledo. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válter Rosa in the 35th minute of play forced Ilheus's goalkeeper Domenico Scarinci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Pedro Brito came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Natercia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Brito couldn't finish the play. Natercia's Nilton Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Natercia from getting a goal against them. Edgard Luz's late challenge caught a Ilheus's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Luz helped the player get up and apologised. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Válter Rosa to make the kick off. Válter Rosa struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Domenico Scarinci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Natercia. Dito de Amorim hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. After 62 played minutes Natercia got a freekick which was hit by Bebeto Brasil. After 67 minutes, Pedro Brito made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ilheus's Domenico Scarinci tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute of the match Vladimiro Tebaldo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nilton Toledo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Domenico Scarinci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 82nd minute Válter Rosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Domenico Scarinci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84thth minute of the game Jean Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Natercia's Nilton Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Domenico Scarinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Rosa in the 90th minute of the match. A long shot from Ulysses Pombal in the 92nd minute of play was well struck, but Domenico Scarinci made a really good save at the right post. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ilheus! Natercia were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Ilheus to leave the ground with a draw.
