Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kléber Alvarenga started the match with the kick off. Giuseppe Sá made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Ramalho in the 9th minute. After 16 played minutes Cafezopolis got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Alvarenga. Raúl Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Giuseppe Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cafezopolis's Giuseppe Sá proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Cafezopolis from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Iuiu SC's Anísio Loyola got a free kick in the 39th minute. Erasmo Tinoco, 40 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raúl Vander to make the kick off. After 55 minutes, Benjamim Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cafezopolis and the Iuiu SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cafezopolis's Benjamim Moreira got a free kick in the 55th minute. When Raúl Vander came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Iuiu SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raúl Vander couldn't finish the play. If Leandro Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 70th minute by Dedé Gomes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Giuseppe Sá made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leandro Ramalho in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iuiu SC's goalkeeper Jarbas Guedes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raúl Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Giuseppe Sá tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dedé Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
