The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Corujinha Esporte Clube's Sandro Fonseca in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cantanhede SC's goalie prevented a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Sandro Fonseca notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cantanhede SC's Marcos Miranda. Marcos Miranda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Corujinha Esporte Clube's Sandro Fonseca in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Miranda prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cantanhede SC's Vivaldo Pontes got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Corujinha Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Remo Paranaense. Leopoldo Cruz's late challenge caught a Cantanhede SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Corujinha Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Leopoldo Cruz hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Sandro Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Miranda was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Sandro Fonseca put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Miranda. When Remo Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Corujinha Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remo Paranaense couldn't finish the play. After 46 minutes, Sandro Fonseca made it 0-5 with a short kick to the right side. Cantanhede SC's Marcos Miranda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Corujinha Esporte Clube were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marcos Miranda made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Sandro Fonseca sent off a good shot on target. Leopoldo Cruz succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 58th playminute. The audience was convinced that Sandro Fonseca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcos Miranda was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Corujinha Esporte Clube's Leopoldo Cruz got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cantanhede SC's Marcos Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Cantanhede SC from getting a goal against them. Marcos Miranda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Cruz in the 71st minute. Lúcio Goiano charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lúcio Goiano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Cantanhede SC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Lúcio Goiano hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Sandro Fonseca ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcos Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. In the 81st match minute, Corujinha Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Sandro Fonseca had several of the Cantanhede SC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-8 score and a disappointed Marcos Miranda as he didn't even see the shot coming. Erivaldo Catarinense kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Marcos Miranda acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 96th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Armandinho Rosado. A hard shot 98 in the game by Sandro Fonseca from a close distance when the talented Marcos Miranda managed to make a qualified save. Cantanhede SC's players were relieved. The Cantanhede SC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Corujinha Esporte Clube were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
