Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rubens Proença started the match with the kick off. Rubens Proença struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Adrianinho Gaúcho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Los CueCas. After a rather tough play, Balco's Kiko Donato got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some careless play in the Balco defense, Eliseu Simões kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrianinho Gaúcho. The Balco fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrianinho Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Los CueCas's zone, Pedrão Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jefferson Saraiva came out of the goal and Pedrão Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Tróia took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jefferson Saraiva. Jefferson Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 15th match minute, Los CueCas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto de Souza to maneuver through the defense. Edinho Bertassi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jefferson Saraiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Esteves in the 24th minute of play forced Balco's goalkeeper Adrianinho Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jefferson Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Tróia in the 26th minute of play. Adrianinho Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rubens Proença in the 29th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Eliseu Simões left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Los CueCas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Cícero de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Rubens Proença shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benjamin Tróia to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Balco's Benjamin Tróia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jefferson Saraiva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. The supporters of Los CueCas booed when Balco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 64 minutes, Luciano de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los CueCas and the Balco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jefferson Saraiva had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Fábio Quadros's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 69th minute of the game. One of Los CueCas:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Balco:s goal. In the 76th minute Gonçalo Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrianinho Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edinho Bertassi charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edinho Bertassi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Edinho Bertassi kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Luciano Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Adrianinho Gaúcho made a huge save. In the 89th minute, Kiko Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubens Proença in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrianinho Gaúcho saved Balco from getting behind. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Los CueCas's goalkeeper Jefferson Saraiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jefferson Saraiva came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Balco's Pedrão Vander. But to his dismay, Pedrão Vander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonçalo Barreto during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Benjamin Tróia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
