Mário Linares started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Rodolfo Gerber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dieguinho Rodrigues. The goal made the score 1-0. Sandro de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 9th minute, Zé Roberto Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dieguinho Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Catarinense in the 20th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Thomás Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maconha's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomás Jacinto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kaká da Mata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Maconha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 28th minute, when Sandro de Souza scored to the left of an out of position Dieguinho Rodrigues, making the score, 2-0. Rodolfo Gerber hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Kaká da Mata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thomás Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Real AIK FC's Kaká da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo de Queiroz in the 37th minute of play. If Thomás Jacinto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Thomás Jacinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kaká da Mata. Real AIK FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thomás Jacinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Catarinense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Thomás Jacinto notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Real AIK FC's Kaká da Mata. Kaká da Mata was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 61st minute Mário Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomás Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the match, Maconha's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Gerber came free, but Dieguinho Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Maconha getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Nuno Veloso hit a great ball. Mário Linares struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Kaká da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maconha. After a rather tough play, Real AIK FC's Sandro de Souza got a free kick in the 77th minute. A collision led to Real AIK FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Paulo Renato Abraão hit a great ball. Dieguinho Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haroldo Catarinense, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Linares in the 94th minute of play forced Real AIK FC's goalkeeper Kaká da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Real AIK FC's zone, Mário Linares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaká da Mata came out of the goal and Mário Linares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
