The referee ignored Ipyra SS's protests and gave Jaime das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. When José Maria Cosme came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Acaam EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Maria Cosme couldn't finish the play. The wind increased when Luizinho Pombal made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Acaam EC's goal looked a bit too open when Luizinho Pombal came free, but Paulão Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Acaam EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luizinho Pombal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The audience was convinced that Luizinho Pombal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paulão Antunes was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. Paulão Antunes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Although Ipyra SS had been in control for most of the match, Acaam EC still came away with the win.
