In the 3rd match minute, GremioFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso de Sena to maneuver through the defense. If Frank Paulista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Silvinho Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Natã Moreno kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Wilian Neves struck a weak shot in the 49th minute. Silvinho Nóbrega didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GremioFC.
The wind increased when Mazinho Mineiro made the kick off in the second half. Cristian Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mazinho Mineiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. GremioFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilian Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Silvinho Nóbrega was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frank Paulista showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 62 minute of play. Cristian Soeiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 84th minute Júlio Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Nóbrega saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 89 played minutes Parreiras got a freekick which was hit by Guto Pombal. Silvinho Nóbrega made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Guedes in the 90th minute of play. Adelino Guedes missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 99 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Silvinho Nóbrega right hand side. When the match was over GremioFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Parreiras throughout the match.
