Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) avante's Angelo Chaves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fellipe Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th match minute, avante was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manfredo Matorin to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Fernando Teles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Róbson Matorin. Fernando Teles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. José Paulo Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Fellipe Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Róbson Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wiliam Barral could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Róbson Matorin made a huge save. The supporters of avante booed when Canama AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Luís Fábio Guedes came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the avante fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fábio Guedes couldn't finish the play. In the 44th match minute, Canama AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wiliam Barral to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fellipe Santos to strike the kick off in the second half. Dorival Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horácio Tavares hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Virgílio Oliveira did an outstanding performance 57 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Donio Porrata in the goal. In the 60th minute, Luís Fabiano Cavalcante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Angelo Chaves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Donio Porrata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Canama AD's zone, Luís Fábio Guedes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donio Porrata came out of the goal and Luís Fábio Guedes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Chaves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Donio Porrata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Canama AD's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Guedes came free, but Donio Porrata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Canama AD's Donio Porrata got control of the ball when Dorival Alagoano tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Fellipe Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Fábio Guedes in the 81st minute of play forced Canama AD's goalkeeper Donio Porrata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to avante getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Angelo Chaves hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind avante's goalkeeper Róbson Matorin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice moves Dorival Alagoano could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Donio Porrata however easily saved by the left post. Luís Fábio Guedes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dorival Alagoano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the match, Canama AD's goalkeeper Donio Porrata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Angelo Chaves. Canama AD's Donio Porrata proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Canama AD from getting a goal against them. Canama AD's Donio Porrata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fábio Guedes in the 97th minute of play. Despite being the better team, avante failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
