With a little luck, Galpin Auto Sports's Róbson Tepedino got control of the ball when Celso Schmidt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandrinho Teles during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sandrinho Teles kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, Celso Schmidt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Róbson Tepedino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonas Brasil in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Andrézinho Batista made a precise shot to the right of José Pedro de Carvalho. Paqueta SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Paqueta SC booed when Galpin Auto Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Maria Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrézinho Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Pedro de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Batista in the 40th minute of play. In the 46th minute Andrézinho Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Pedro de Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Dorian Couto made the kick off in the second half. Galpin Auto Sports's Dorian Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 53rd minute Jonas Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Tepedino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Galpin Auto Sports getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Jairo Botelho hit a great ball. Paqueta SC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Christian Mumbach in the 57th minute. The corner led Paqueta SC's Christian Mumbach to fire away a dangerous shot which Róbson Tepedino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 58 minutes into the game, Andrézinho Batista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galpin Auto Sports's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paqueta SC the free kick. In the 58th match minute, Galpin Auto Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrézinho Batista to maneuver through the defense. Jonas Brasil's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Róbson Tepedino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Jonas Brasil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Róbson Tepedino having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Brasil in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Róbson Tepedino saved Galpin Auto Sports from getting behind. The supporters of Paqueta SC booed when Galpin Auto Sports was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Róbson Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Galpin Auto Sports's Róbson Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Schmidt in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes in the game, Celso Schmidt dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Galpin Auto Sports's zone, Jonas Brasil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Róbson Tepedino came out of the goal and Jonas Brasil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Botelho hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonas Brasil in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Róbson Tepedino saved Galpin Auto Sports from getting behind. Róbson Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
