After 25 played minutes Acaua SS got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Quintal. After 27 minutes, Joélson Cearense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Acaua SS and the Passo AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Joélson Cearense hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abelardo Gonçalves in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Mineiro saved Acaua SS from getting behind. After 41 played minutes Passo AD got a freekick which was hit by Dino Nascimento. If Dário Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Rossi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abelardo Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Mineiro having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Raúl Oliveira's shot from long distance in the 55th minute was not bad at all, but Passo AD's Waldemar Fonseca knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. 57 minutes into the match, Acaua SS's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque came free, but Dé Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes in the game, Dário Neiva fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Waldemar Fonseca having to interfere. In the 61st minute Dário Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldemar Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dário Neiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dé Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Abelardo Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dé Mineiro was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Acaua SS's Dé Mineiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque in the 81st minute of play. Luiz Eduardo Albuquerque received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute.
