Bruno Raffa's late challenge caught a Cafuca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Raffa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Atlético Capixaba getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Bruno Raffa hit a great ball. Jaime Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bruno Raffa came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Atlético Capixaba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Raffa couldn't finish the play. Gildo Arruda scored 1-0 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Malmgren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pedrinho Xavier made a kick off. Alf Malmgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedrinho Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Atlético Capixaba's Alf Malmgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedrinho Xavier in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Capixaba's zone, Bernardinho Rosa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alf Malmgren came out of the goal and Bernardinho Rosa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Cauã Tepedino fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlético Capixaba's protests and gave Cauã Tepedino a yellow card for diving instead. In the 68th match minute, Atlético Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauã Tepedino to maneuver through the defense. If Gildo Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedrinho Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alf Malmgren having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play, Cafuca's Gildo Arruda made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alf Malmgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedrinho Xavier in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alf Malmgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Raffa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Roberto Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Raffa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Cafuca's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
