Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gilson Proença started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruy Sanches in the 5th minute of play forced Descoberto's goalkeeper Arthur Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Paulo Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Telmo de Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilson Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Paulo Diniz in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Telmo de Amorim, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 13th minute of the match Elder Leal sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arthur Arósio skillfully saved the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Coutinho's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Proença came free, but Telmo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Coutinho booed when Descoberto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kaká de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruy Sanches in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arthur Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Descoberto's Arthur Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Sanches in the 23rd minute of play. João Paulo Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes Coutinho got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldão Leal. In the 28th minute, Gilson Proença got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruy Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Arthur Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Allan Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 played minutes Descoberto got a freekick which was hit by Kaká de Amorim. With a little luck, Coutinho's Telmo de Amorim got control of the ball when João Paulo Diniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. When João Paulo Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Descoberto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Diniz couldn't finish the play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The audience was convinced that Gilson Proença's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Telmo de Amorim was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. João Paulo Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo de Amorim having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Coutinho's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Proença came free, but Telmo de Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Coutinho getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Ronaldão Leal hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Descoberto's Gilson Proença got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Descoberto's Arthur Arósio got control of the ball when Allan Prata tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute, Gilson Proença ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. João Paulo Diniz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo de Amorim having to interfere. Telmo de Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Diniz in the 78th minute of the match. In the 85th minute, João Paulo Diniz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Telmo de Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. João Paulo Diniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Telmo de Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Gilson Proença fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo de Amorim having to interfere. In the 96th minute Ruy Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
