In the 4thth minute of the game Nilton Mineiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaianazes SC's Gilberto Vides was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Ibiacema's Nilton Mineiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilberto Vides narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Otávio do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Otávio do Valle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nilton Mineiro struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Gilberto Vides didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ibiacema. If Nilton Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Guaianazes SC's zone, Otávio do Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Vides came out of the goal and Otávio do Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Meira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hamílton Maciel went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Severino Lira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nilton Mineiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Gilberto Vides tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilton Mineiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Otávio do Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Guaianazes SC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nilton Mineiro was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Ibiacema's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Valadares came free, but Vítor Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Lira during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ibiacema booed when Guaianazes SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Meira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Maurinho Faria showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 96 minute of play. The Guaianazes SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
