Spectators: 5100 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alex Pimenta got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute of the match, Cléber Peixoto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carlos Eduardo Guedes was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 10 minutes into the game, Alex Pimenta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Japecanga SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joinville Esporte Clube the free kick. If Cléber Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber Peixoto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cléber Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Eduardo Guedes having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Afonsinho Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joinville Esporte Clube's Betinho Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alex Pimenta in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Cléber Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roger Tavares in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlos Eduardo Guedes saved Japecanga SS from getting behind. Antônio Carlos Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Roger Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cléber Peixoto in the 34th minute. Cléber Peixoto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Carlos Eduardo Guedes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Severino Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 39th minute, Cléber Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 44th match minute, Joinville Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Santos to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Severino Santos during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Joinville Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Severino Santos hit a great ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roger Tavares to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, Japecanga SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamílton Ceresso to maneuver through the defense. In the 54th match minute, Joinville Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Santos to maneuver through the defense. If Cléber Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Guedes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Hamílton Ceresso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joinville Esporte Clube's Cléber Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Japecanga SS's Alex Pimenta got his second yellow card of the match in the 66th minute. The referee ordered Alex Pimenta off the ground. After 67 played minutes Japecanga SS got a freekick which was hit by Alex Pimenta. In the 70th minute Nuno Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Eduardo Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Eduardo Guedes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cléber Peixoto's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After a rather tough play, Japecanga SS's Luís Fabiano Cardoso got a free kick in the 77th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Roger Tavares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Carlos Eduardo Guedes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Joinville Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Leandro Cunha hit a great ball. Carlos Eduardo Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléber Peixoto in the 89th minute of play. Roger Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Tavares in the 93rd minute of play forced Japecanga SS's goalkeeper Carlos Eduardo Guedes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There was no doubt that Joinville Esporte Clube were the better team. Joinville Esporte Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
