Marcelinho Leão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Gbteam booed when Pacovalinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelinho Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Furlan came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Gbteam's Agostinho Prata. But to his dismay, Agostinho Prata quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Pacovalinho's Eusébio Furlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Pacovalinho from getting a goal against them. Gbteam's Nelson Marinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabrício Figueiredo in the 28th minute of play. Gbteam's Agostinho Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 33 minutes, Vitório Breckenfeld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gbteam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vitório Breckenfeld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Vitinho Coelho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gbteam's supporters rose to their feet, but Vitinho Coelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eusébio Furlan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Pacovalinho's zone, Agostinho Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Furlan came out of the goal and Agostinho Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusébio Albuquerque fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Furlan having to interfere. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pacovalinho's goalkeeper Eusébio Furlan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Nicolas Motta struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Nelson Marinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pacovalinho. Manfredo Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Furlan having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gbteam had played much better football throughout.
