Hermínio da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cléberson da Fonseca having to interfere. In the 12th minute Albertinho Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermínio da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cléberson da Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio da Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Hermínio da Silveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 32nd minute, Hermínio da Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 32 minutes, Belmiro Valladares made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Ibitiara AD's Cléberson da Fonseca tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aníbal Pereira's late challenge caught a Ibitiara AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aníbal Pereira helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ibitiara AD booed when Asgard FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aníbal Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Hermínio da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belmiro Valladares in the 43rd minute of play forced Ibitiara AD's goalkeeper Cléberson da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Ibitiara AD's goal looked a bit too open when Belmiro Valladares came free, but Cléberson da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Aníbal Pereira made a great header on Asgard FC's corner, it was just that Ibitiara AD's Cléberson da Fonseca managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hermínio da Silveira got free with Cléberson da Fonseca in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas de Queirós in the 57th minute of play forced Asgard FC's goalkeeper Váldson Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Asgard FC booed when Ibitiara AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beto de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Asgard FC got a freekick which was hit by Hermínio da Silveira. A collision led to Ibitiara AD getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Douglas de Queirós hit a great ball. Cléberson da Fonseca stood somewhat misplaced when Belmiro Valladares came free in front of goal and shot 0-2 to the left of him in the 71 minute. After 75 minutes, Alfredinho Borges mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ibitiara AD and the Asgard FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alfredinho Borges hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Asgard FC's Belmiro Valladares got a free kick in the 77th minute. In the 79th minute Hermínio da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cléberson da Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Edmílson Rosado made a precise shot to the right of Váldson Pereira. Asgard FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Belmiro Valladares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Hermínio da Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Asgard FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermínio da Silveira couldn't finish the play. The Asgard FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Asgard FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
