Spectators: 6650 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dida Donato took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Trieste F.C. booed when Iguarassu AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dedé Ferraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dida Donato's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chiquinho Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Téo Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Marcel Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Iguarassu AD's Téo Prado managed to work through Trieste F.C.'s defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Téo Prado dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Glauco Maciel struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Marcel Maia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iguarassu AD. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Quadros in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Maia saved Trieste F.C. from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Téo Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iguarassu AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Téo Prado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Maia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Téo Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Maia having to interfere. Iguarassu AD's attack was well implemented in the 24th minute, but when Paulo Quadros was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. 26 minutes into the game, Paulo Quadros recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcel Maia. Paulo Quadros showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Chiquinho Carvalho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Nóbrega in the 30th minute of the match. Chiquinho Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Donato in the 32nd minute of play. Trieste F.C.'s Marcel Maia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Quadros in the 35th minute of play. Téo Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Marcel Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Quadros to strike the kick off in the second half. Marcel Maia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Téo Prado in the 56th minute of play. Marcel Maia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Quadros's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. When Alfredão Vasconcelos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. In the 59th minute, Alfredão Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Téo Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Paulo Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Maia having to interfere. Dida Donato hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. The Iguarassu AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chiquinho Carvalho should have stopped the shot. Marcel Maia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Téo Prado in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Maia prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
