With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the match, State Warriors FC's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Luz came free, but Valdemar Vidal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When João Augusto Moreno fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altair AD's protests and gave João Augusto Moreno a yellow card for diving instead. Valdemar Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Fernando Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
