Zacarias Arósio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Júlio Tepedino in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zacarias Arósio saved Marrao from getting behind. Luís Fabiano Damião sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Júlio Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Tepedino in the 18th minute of play forced Marrao's goalkeeper Zacarias Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Marrao's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino de Alcântara came free, but Zacarias Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elano Faustino hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Francesco Giocondo made an important save on a dangerous shot by William Lopes in the 23rd minute. In the 24th minute, Carlinhos Vinhas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Marrao's zone, Durvalino de Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Arósio came out of the goal and Durvalino de Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luís Fabiano Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Arósio having to interfere. After 34 minutes, Perivaldo Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marrao and the PEREBA FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Perivaldo Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, PEREBA FC's João Paulo Ramos got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Durvalino de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. PEREBA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Durvalino de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Arósio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elano Faustino's late challenge caught a PEREBA FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Francesco Giocondo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Perivaldo Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Perivaldo Arantes was the one to do the kick off. Zacarias Arósio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudinei Prado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. A collision led to PEREBA FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. João Paulo Ramos hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís Fabiano Damião got free with Zacarias Arósio in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luís Fabiano Damião struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Zacarias Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PEREBA FC. If Júlio Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juvenal Marinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Arósio having to make a save. Júlio Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Zacarias Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. PEREBA FC played a much better game than Marrao and deserved their victory. The Marrao players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
