Mataripe SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís Gustavo Arce was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. With a little luck, Real Atlantic FC's André Araújo got control of the ball when Jacinto Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton Magalhães in the 23rd minute of play forced Real Atlantic FC's goalkeeper André Araújo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Yuri Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Maria Pimenta in the 25th minute of play. André Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Real Atlantic FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mataripe SC the free kick. In the 69th minute, Luís Gustavo Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. André Araújo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jacinto Moreira's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Elivélton Magalhães in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Araújo saved Real Atlantic FC from getting behind. After 85 minutes, Jacinto Moreira made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real Atlantic FC's André Araújo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 95th minute, one of Real Atlantic FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Real Atlantic FC. Mataripe SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
