Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Doni Santos started the match with the kick off. Amauri Romero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernani Toscano's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Uni Souza Futebol Clube's zone, Luís Fabiano Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rubens de Alcântara came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristai's Amauri Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernani Toscano in the 14th minute of play. Doni Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amauri Romero having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Cristai's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Santos came free, but Amauri Romero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernani Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amauri Romero having to interfere. 25 minutes into the game, Uni Souza Futebol Clube's Doni Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amauri Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 28 minutes into the match, Uni Souza Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fabiano Barros came free, but Rubens de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Marcus Jacinto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Cristai fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Cristai's Antônio Perez looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Amauri Romero came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Uni Souza Futebol Clube's Doni Santos. But to his dismay, Doni Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 40 minutes into the game, Luís Fabiano Barros was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uni Souza Futebol Clube the free kick. The supporters of Uni Souza Futebol Clube booed when Cristai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Barros didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Uni Souza Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dalmo Capixaba hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Fabiano Barros made a kick off. Doni Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amauri Romero having to make a save. Doni Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amauri Romero was a little too slow when Doni Santos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Fabiano Barros in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rubens de Alcântara prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristai's Amauri Romero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Santos in the 69th minute of play. Rubens de Alcântara came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cristai's Luís Fabiano Barros. But to his dismay, Luís Fabiano Barros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Doni Santos put it in 2-4 from a short distance just to the right of Amauri Romero. Doni Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Amauri Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Favoretto got free with Amauri Romero in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabiano Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Uni Souza Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Cristai.
