After a defensive mix-up in Dique FC's zone, Ulysses Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Azevedo came out of the goal and Ulysses Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 23 minutes into the match, Dique FC's goalkeeper Cristian Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulysses Cordeiro. A collision led to Dique FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cafu Donato hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Vasconcellos's Benjamim Tepedino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ulysses Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Cristian Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulysses Cordeiro in the 31st minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Amílton de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasconcellos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amílton de Azevedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Carlos Rodrigues took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oséias Saraiva. Oséias Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ulysses Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Cristian Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilmar Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Vasconcellos were awarded a corner. Benjamim Tepedino went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Vasconcellos's Doriva de Almeida getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leonardo Ramalho was the one to do the kick off. Amílton de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristian Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Ulysses Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Azevedo having to interfere. Leonardo Ramalho had several of the Vasconcellos's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 61 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Oséias Saraiva as he didn't even see the shot coming. 64 minutes into the match, Dique FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses Cordeiro came free, but Cristian Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vasconcellos's Amílton de Azevedo in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Dique FC's protests and gave Cafu Donato a yellow card for diving instead. In the 70th minute, Cafu Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The player immediately received a yellow card. Doriva de Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Cristian Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulysses Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 81 minutes, Amílton de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. If Doriva de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Dique FC defense, Ulysses Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Azevedo. The Dique FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Ulysses Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute.
