Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Guga Mota started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Murilo Magalhães suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Doriva Bittencourt fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Morena EC's protests and gave Doriva Bittencourt a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes Morena EC got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Bittencourt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haroldo Zonta in the 6th minute of play forced Seleto Football Club's goalkeeper Zacarias Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute, Osvaldo Peres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zacarias Dias came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Morena EC's Agnaldo Mattos. But to his dismay, Agnaldo Mattos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The supporters of Seleto Football Club booed when Morena EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doriva Bittencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 16 played minutes, Seleto Football Club's Osvaldo Peres shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henrique Amorim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Seleto Football Club reached it. Agnaldo Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guga Mota made in the 19th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Agnaldo Mattos. In the 20th minute, Yan Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute Aleandro Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aleandro Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agnaldo Mattos who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 39thth minute tested the skills of Zacarias Dias when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aleandro Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Morena EC's Henrique Amorim got control of the ball when Aleandro Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Guga Mota in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Seleto Football Club's Marcinho Seco. A throw-in in the 56th minute of the game was made by Guga Mota with Haroldo Zonta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After a rather tough play, Seleto Football Club's Beppe Fabiani got a free kick in the 57th minute. Aleandro Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henrique Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleandro Santos in the 62nd minute. In the 63rd minute Agnaldo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Morena EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enio Velloso to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Henrique Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aleandro Santos in the 70th minute. Aleandro Santos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Henrique Amorim made a huge save. In the 73rd minute Agnaldo Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Agnaldo Mattos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zacarias Dias having to make a save. With a little luck, Morena EC's Henrique Amorim got control of the ball when Aleandro Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Agnaldo Mattos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Aleandro Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agnaldo Mattos took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zacarias Dias. Zacarias Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Morena EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Seleto Football Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
