Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manoel Coutinho got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind jacaré's goalkeeper Rafa Pereira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arpád Noga kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute of the match Vicente Carneiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafa Pereira skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Mombacinha FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Michel Peres hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Mombacinha FC's Manoel Coutinho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 18th minute, Hudson Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafa Pereira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 22nd minute Róbson Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 24 played minutes Mombacinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Carneiro. Geovani de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Róbson Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mombacinha FC's zone, Róbson Vasconcelos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani de Godoi came out of the goal and Róbson Vasconcelos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fellipe Vaz hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After 32 played minutes Mombacinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Luisinho Sergipano. Charles de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Geovani de Godoi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Geovani de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Geovani de Godoi was left in no man's land by his defense there! All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Róbson Vasconcelos made a kick off. The supporters of jacaré booed when Mombacinha FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hudson Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisinho Sergipano during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Simão Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simão Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mombacinha FC booed when jacaré was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The jacaré fans' excitement grew in the 83rd match minute when jacaré's Róbson Vasconcelos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Geovani de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
