Almir Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Tiaguinho Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tiaguinho Saldanha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dênis Ortiz went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 14th minute, Guga Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kléberson Pitta struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Tiaguinho Saldanha didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saboo. 21 minutes into the match, Kléberson Pitta dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tiaguinho Saldanha, 2-0. Tiaguinho Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléberson Pitta in the 28th minute of the match. Saboo's Dênis Ortiz got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kléberson Pitta in the 35th minute of play forced F.C.Siderurgico's goalkeeper Tiaguinho Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kléberson Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Saboo's goalkeeper Beto Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Almir Leal fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saboo's protests and gave Almir Leal a yellow card for diving instead. In the 40th minute, Almir Leal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led F.C.Siderurgico's Vinícius Oliveira to fire away a dangerous shot which Beto Cunha despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 46thth minute of the game Kléberson Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F.C.Siderurgico's Tiaguinho Saldanha was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the game, one of Saboo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dênis Ortiz to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Dênis Ortiz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dênis Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tiaguinho Saldanha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A wasted opportunity for Saboo. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dênis Ortiz in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiaguinho Saldanha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 93rd minute, Dênis Ortiz made a precise shot to the right of Tiaguinho Saldanha. F.C.Siderurgico's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. There was no doubt that Saboo were the better team. Saboo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
