Girassol Laranza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliézer Trigo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reginaldo Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Girassol Laranza's zone, Leopoldo da Fonseca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isaltino Rossi came out of the goal and Leopoldo da Fonseca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 60thth minute of the game Leopoldo da Fonseca who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Girassol Laranza's Isaltino Rossi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the game, ...'s Leopoldo da Fonseca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Isaltino Rossi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Reginaldo Salgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Isaltino Rossi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Leopoldo da Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Isaltino Rossi. Girassol Laranza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leopoldo da Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 71 minutes into the match, Girassol Laranza's goal looked a bit too open when Leopoldo da Fonseca came free, but Isaltino Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Reginaldo Salgado put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Isaltino Rossi. ...'s Leopoldo da Fonseca got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eliézer Trigo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Leopoldo da Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Leopoldo da Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the ... fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leopoldo da Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Henrique Veiga was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 88th minute, Henrique Veiga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo da Fonseca struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Isaltino Rossi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for .... In the 93rd minute, Reginaldo Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Girassol Laranza's Isaltino Rossi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo da Fonseca in the 96th minute of play. ...'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
