Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Amadeu Vidal started the match with the kick off. Ituiutaba's Gilmar de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Vidal in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Quincas getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Evandro Fontes hit a great ball. After 6 played minutes Pedro Luís de Sena rounded Quincas's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís de Sena in the 10th minute of play forced Quincas's goalkeeper Gilberto Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Quincas getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Erivaldo Severo hit a great ball. The Quincas fans' excitement grew in the 16th match minute when Quincas's Joélson Munhoz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Amadeu Vidal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gilmar de Andrade read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Ulisses Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Nóbrega having to interfere. Pedro Luís de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gilberto Nóbrega tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Ituiutaba got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses Senna. In the 27th minute, Amadeu Vidal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Quincas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. A collision led to Ituiutaba getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Ulisses Senna hit a great ball. Gilmar de Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amadeu Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Pedro Luís de Sena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joélson Munhoz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ituiutaba's Gilmar de Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Vidal in the 46th minute of play. Quincas were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Ituiutaba's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Adriano Sampaio took the corner.

The wind increased when Pedro Luís de Sena made the kick off in the second half. Ulisses Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Nóbrega having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Quincas's zone, Américo Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Nóbrega came out of the goal and Américo Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Luís de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Nóbrega having to interfere. In the 68th minute, Ulisses Senna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís de Sena in the 70th minute of play forced Quincas's goalkeeper Gilberto Nóbrega to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Amadeu Vidal rounded Ituiutaba's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Gilberto Nóbrega showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luís de Sena in the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Ituiutaba booed when Quincas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Nóbrega took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedro Luís de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Nóbrega having to interfere. Américo Dias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joélson Munhoz took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilmar de Andrade. Gilmar de Andrade dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. The Quincas supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Quincas would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
