Spectators: 7202 (Terracing: 5403, Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Kléber Cavalcante kicked off to start the match. Kléber Cavalcante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kléber Cavalcante didn't quite understand what happened when in the 7 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 8 minutes, Serginho Neves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pirangi FC and the Cruzeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Serginho Neves hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Dé Guerra had great luck who in the 9thth minute grab hold of the ball when Kléber Cavalcante from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The supporters of Cruzeiro booed when Pirangi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Pirangi FC's goalkeeper Dé Guerra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Duarte. Dé Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cafu Rossi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Ramos during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cruzeiro's João Carlos Lira was substituted for Petru Bejgăneanu. In the 20th match minute, Pirangi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Ramos to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Antonio Ricart threw the ball into play from the sideline. Pirangi FC's Ezequiel Mota quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hugo de Alcântara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Guerra having to interfere. A collision led to Pirangi FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Vitório Correia hit a great ball. Zé Augusto do Nascimento's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zé Augusto do Nascimento helped the player get up and apologised. Avraam Sagionaridis made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Pirangi FC's André Ramos. After having played for 32 minutes, Serginho Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirangi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serginho Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 minutes of play, Pirangi FC's Serginho Neves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giuseppe Guerra was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 43 played minutes, Cruzeiro's Cafu Rossi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dé Guerra came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cruzeiro reached it. Dé Guerra was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but João Carlos Lira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 44 minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Serginho Neves to strike the kick off in the second half. César Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Cruzeiro's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Zé Augusto do Nascimento fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 67 minutes into the match, Pirangi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Catarinense came free, but Dé Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Kléber Cavalcante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dé Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Cruzeiro booed when Pirangi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Serginho Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dé Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kléber Cavalcante in the 75th minute of the match. The supporters of Cruzeiro booed when Pirangi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ezequiel Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Cruzeiro's Kléber Cavalcante made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net.
