Marco Paiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademir Diniz, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Ademir Diniz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marco Paiva having to make a save. 21 minutes into the match, Ademir Diniz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FIGUEIRENSE F.C.'s Marco Paiva. Marco Paiva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 played minutes FIGUEIRENSE F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Haroldo Romero. After 27 played minutes FIGUEIRENSE F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Sá. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind FIGUEIRENSE F.C.'s goalkeeper Marco Paiva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Silveira in the 29th minute of play forced FIGUEIRENSE F.C.'s goalkeeper Marco Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Samuca Mesquita made the kick off in the second half. FIGUEIRENSE F.C.'s Marco Paiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Paranaense in the 51st minute of play. In the 53rd minute, one of FIGUEIRENSE F.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FIGUEIRENSE F.C.. Ademir Diniz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 61st minute, Samuca Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marco Paiva made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Gerson Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to SC Ratata getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Jardel Cunha hit a great ball. SC Ratata's Joélson Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuca Mesquita in the 67th minute of play. Marco Paiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ademir Diniz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. With a little luck, FIGUEIRENSE F.C.'s Marco Paiva got control of the ball when Arnaldo Silveira tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Ratata's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
