GREEN FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Vítor Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Felippe Vidal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anísio de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30thth minute of the game José Vítor Silveira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GREEN FC's Felippe Vidal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Anísio de Toledo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Felippe Vidal. Alex Mendonça hit a great ball. 38 minutes into the match, Palhal's José Vítor Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felippe Vidal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee ignored GREEN FC's protests and gave Manoel Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, José Vítor Silveira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Palhal booed when GREEN FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nuno Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anísio de Toledo couldn't finish the play. Felippe Vidal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Silveira in the 98th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Vítor Silveira in the 100th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Felippe Vidal saved GREEN FC from getting behind. When the match was over Palhal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than GREEN FC throughout the match.
