With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jeferson Tróia in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Bastos saved Lomba Grande Sport Club from getting behind. If Vítor Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute Alexandre Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Wesley Godoi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorge Bastos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After 20 played minutes Oacary AD got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Ferraz. 20 minutes into the match, Oacary AD's goalkeeper Jairo de Almeida had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vítor Paranaense. Leonel Passos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 25th minute, Vítor Paranaense made a precise shot to the right of Jairo de Almeida. Oacary AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonel Passos in the 30th minute of play forced Oacary AD's goalkeeper Jairo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Leonel Passos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Jeferson Tróia took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 35th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jorge Bastos. Lomba Grande Sport Club's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vítor Paranaense in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jairo de Almeida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vítor Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jairo de Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vítor Paranaense got free with Jairo de Almeida in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Goiano in the 46th minute of the match. After 47 minutes, Dito Gonçalves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lomba Grande Sport Club and the Oacary AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lomba Grande Sport Club getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dito Gonçalves hit a great ball. Jorge Bastos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeferson Tróia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedrinho Amaral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Oacary AD got a freekick which was hit by Wesley Godoi. Pedrinho Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Jorge Bastos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the game, Vítor Paranaense cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Jairo de Almeida was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jorge Bastos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrinho Amaral in the 61st minute of the match. Jairo de Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. When Júlio da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lomba Grande Sport Club's protests and gave Júlio da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Júlio da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Lomba Grande Sport Club's goalkeeper Jorge Bastos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Rezende. After 70 played minutes Lomba Grande Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Dito Gonçalves. Vítor Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimiros Zelelidis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo de Almeida having to interfere. Jorge Bastos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedrinho Amaral in the 78th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luiz Ferraz got free with Jorge Bastos in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeferson Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Oséas Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jairo de Almeida read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Vítor Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lomba Grande Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Vítor Paranaense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jairo de Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 88th minute, Vítor Paranaense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jairo de Almeida was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Jairo de Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Paranaense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oacary AD's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
