Armandinho Hermes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tales Prado's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 20th match minute, Atlas de Mantena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Moraes to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Pote SC's Cipriano Pombal broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tales Prado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. If Tales Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Pote SC's Vágner Berger got a free kick in the 36th minute. A collision led to Pote SC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Tales Prado hit a great ball. Donato Ferraz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Cipriano Toledo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 44 minutes into the match, Marcelo Félix notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atlas de Mantena's Armandinho Hermes. Armandinho Hermes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When Tales Prado came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Pote SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tales Prado couldn't finish the play. Marcelo Félix who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Armandinho Hermes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pote SC's Marcelo Félix came free and shot a quick shot against goal 57 minutes in the game, fortunately Armandinho Hermes had problems saving as it came toward the left post. If Marcelo Félix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, Atlas de Mantena's goal looked a bit too open when Tales Prado came free, but Armandinho Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that José Carlos Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cipriano Toledo was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. After having played for 66 minutes, Tales Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Armandinho Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pote SC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bruninho Moraes during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Pote SC booed when Atlas de Mantena was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cipriano Pombal, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The attack was good, but when Tales Prado in the 85th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Marcelo Félix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armandinho Hermes having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, José Carlos Leite managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlas de Mantena's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carlos Leite was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Pote SC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
