Kauã Leão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Gualter Cerezo made a huge save. In the 7th minute, Vinícius Montenegro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gualter Cerezo, passed just outside the right post. 9 minutes into the match, Barandao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sese Topnikov came free, but Gualter Cerezo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Simão de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Genílson Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes Estrela Super RJ got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Reis. In the 17th minute Simão de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeca Favoretto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Estrela Super RJ's Zeca Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão de Azevedo in the 20th minute of play. Sese Topnikov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Gualter Cerezo made a huge save. Zeca Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Velloso in the 24th minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Estrela Super RJ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson Prata to maneuver through the defense. Estrela Super RJ's Vinícius Montenegro pulled a muscle in his back after 26 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 26 minutes, Vladimir Pimenta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barandao SC and the Estrela Super RJ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Barandao SC's Vladimir Pimenta got a free kick in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Estrela Super RJ's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Velloso came free, but Zeca Favoretto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 31st minute of the game. One of Barandao SC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Estrela Super RJ:s goal. When Estrela Super RJ's Sese Topnikov in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barandao SC's goalie prevented a goal. Sese Topnikov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Gualter Cerezo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Gualter Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sese Topnikov in the 43rd minute of play. Gualter Cerezo made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Sese Topnikov sent off a good shot on target.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rodrigo Velloso to strike the kick off in the second half. Gualter Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Matorin in the 53rd minute of play. When the match clock showed 59 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Sese Topnikov sped through Barandao SC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gualter Cerezo. 61 minutes into the match, Benjamin Matorin notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Barandao SC's Gualter Cerezo. Gualter Cerezo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 68thth minute of the game Sese Topnikov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barandao SC's Gualter Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Barandao SC's Gualter Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sese Topnikov in the 70th minute of play. Gualter Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sese Topnikov in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Barandao SC's zone, Caetano Mineiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gualter Cerezo came out of the goal and Caetano Mineiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 minutes, Genílson Prata mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Estrela Super RJ and the Barandao SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Genílson Prata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimir Pimenta took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Zeca Favoretto. Estrela Super RJ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute, Sese Topnikov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gualter Cerezo was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. In the 84thth minute of the game Sese Topnikov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barandao SC's Gualter Cerezo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sese Topnikov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vânderson Bastos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sese Topnikov in the 90th minute of play forced Barandao SC's goalkeeper Gualter Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barandao SC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Estrela Super RJ.
