With a couple of smart ball manuevers Washington Botelho in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adelino Saraiva saved Jandiritiua SC from getting behind. Adelino Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Romano Butto in the 9th minute of the match. After 11 minutes, Wágner Toscano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caucaiense City Games and the Jandiritiua SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Jandiritiua SC booed when Caucaiense City Games was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wágner Toscano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcelinho Prata got free with Denílson Cardoso in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 14 played minutes Caucaiense City Games got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Charamut. The throw-in from Joaquim dos Santos in the 17th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Caucaiense City Games's Wágner Toscano. After taking down the ball on Jandiritiua SC's corner Mauro Leal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Denílson Cardoso quite easily take care of the ball. When Marcelinho Prata came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Jandiritiua SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelinho Prata couldn't finish the play. After having played for 29 minutes, Alberto Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jandiritiua SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 37th minute, Romano Butto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Washington Botelho in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joaquim dos Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Jandiritiua SC got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Eger. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Washington Botelho to strike the kick off in the second half. Edgard Eger charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edgard Eger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jandiritiua SC's Edgard Eger got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Kajetan Charamut fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caucaiense City Games's protests and gave Kajetan Charamut a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Mauro Leal hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. After 57 played minutes Jandiritiua SC got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Eger. Marcelinho Prata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denílson Cardoso having to interfere. Romano Butto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Romano Butto came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Caucaiense City Games fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romano Butto couldn't finish the play. In the 72nd minute Marcelinho Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Cardoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd match minute, Jandiritiua SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Romano Butto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Adelino Saraiva made a huge save. If Romano Butto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jandiritiua SC's Adelino Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Jandiritiua SC from getting a goal against them. Alberto Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Denílson Cardoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcelinho Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Washington Botelho recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adelino Saraiva. Washington Botelho showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Caucaiense City Games's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
