Jeferson Dante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vânderson Valle having to make a save. When Sydney Marinho came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Soc. Esportiva Paulos fans jumped to their feet. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aloísio Fernandez to make the kick off. The supporters of Tuneiras booed when Soc. Esportiva Paulos's goalkeeper Claudinei Marques, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 60 minutes into the match, Durval Leme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinei Marques. Soc. Esportiva Paulos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Durval Leme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Sydney Marinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vânderson Valle having to interfere. If Aloísio Fernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tuneiras's Aloísio Fernandez got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Marinho in the 88th minute of play forced Tuneiras's goalkeeper Vânderson Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute, Jeferson Dante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Soc. Esportiva Paulos's Vânderson Valle threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sydney Marinho, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 92nd minute, Jeferson Dante fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Vânderson Valle, passed just outside the right post. Vânderson Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sydney Marinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
